We met the SAME Foundation last year and were amazed at the work they do. #turnleftmedia decided we wanted to focus on education and more specifically #science and #maths so we helped build two science labs in seriously disadvantaged areas. A leader in the fight against cancer in SA, since 1931, the purpose of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA), is to offer a unique, integrated service to the public and to all people affected by cancer.
Turnleftmedia works with CANSA in the upliftment of their purpose because cancer is one of the widest-reaching diseases globally, killing more than 9.6 million people annually. Our ability to place CANSA in front of the right audiences, and enable their professional profiles and conversations allow us to shorten the path to knowledge for parties affected by the disease, and those interested in fighting it. We are aware that Cancer is a disease that has ravaged society and has been responsible for many deaths in South Africa. Part of the reason for the number of high number of deaths caused by cancer stems from the lack of knowledge and issues of early detection of the disease. TLM wants to be in the forefront of the awareness project and ensure that people are equipped with the right knowledge to overcome this disease
